The "Gokou" cultivar is usually used for high-grade sencha call "Gyokuro". This matcha is made by using 100% of this rare variety. Gokou in Japanese means "Five Aromas", which coincides with it rich, mellow and beautiful aroma. For matcha, this variety is distinctively creamy in taste.
