WHAT IS HOJICHA?

WHAT IS HOJICHA?

Hojicha is a type of roasted tea that originated in Kyoto, Japan. Hojicha is made by slowly roasting tea leaves, stems, stalks, and twigs, making for a nutty, earthy, and sweet flavor. This practice of using the stems, stalks and twigs of the tea plant started as a way for tea merchants use the leftover tea plant debris. Hojicha can be either loose-leaf tea or ground up into a fine powder like matcha. No matter the what kind of Hojicha you have, we are sure you will enjoy this roasted tea.
